Understanding the Requirements

Morning Routine: The family typically wakes up around 7 AM, requiring specific lighting, temperature settings, and shade adjustments.

Evening Activities: Evenings involve family gatherings, movie nights, and individual activities, necessitating customizable lighting and climate settings.

Accessibility Needs: Prefers straightforward interactions with technology.

Customization : Family members expressed interest in personalizing settings for different scenarios (e.g., reading, gaming, or family dinners).

Pain Points

Lack of Intuitive Controls:

Users expressed frustration with poorly designed controls. For example, sliders for dimming lights might not provide immediate feedback, leading to uncertainty about whether the command was executed.

Inconsistent Device Integration:

Users often have devices from different manufacturers that don’t communicate well with one another. This inconsistency can lead to fragmented user experiences, making it difficult to manage devices seamlessly.

Accessibility Issues:

Users with varying levels of tech proficiency, including elderly individuals, reported challenges in navigating complex applications. They require larger buttons, clearer instructions, and more straightforward interactions.

Limited Customization Options:

Users want the ability to personalize their experience based on their preferences. Many existing applications lack options for customizing the dashboard or creating quick-access shortcuts.
