Although the core product was strong, the previous landing page lacked the excitement, credibility, and structure needed to keep users engaged. I took full ownership of the redesign and development of the landing page to better align with user expectations and business goals.

Problem Statement

  • The landing page failed to capture user attention, resulting in a low average session time of 10 seconds.

  • The overall UI did not reflect the energy and trustworthiness critical for a sports betting platform.

  • Navigation and content hierarchy needed significant improvements to guide users effectively.

Goals

  • Increase user engagement and session duration from 10 seconds to at least 25 seconds.

  • Improve visual hierarchy, information structure, and brand credibility.

  • Create a more dynamic and attractive user interface.

  • Launch the new landing page on the dgbet.fun domain seamlessly.

Design Process

1. Understanding the Problem

The first step was analyzing the old landing page to identify why user engagement was very low. Using Google Analytics, I tracked user activities, bounce rates, and average session times. It became clear that users weren’t finding the content appealing or easy to navigate.
I also researched what users expect when visiting a sports betting platform:
Trustworthiness and legitimacy upfront
Exciting rewards and promotions
Clear calls-to-action (CTAs)
Social proof (testimonials, community highlights)

2. Defining the Strategy

  • Designing the Information Architecture: Structured the landing page around user intent – showcasing rewards, promotions, community trust, and a clear CTA path.

  • Wireframing: Created low-fidelity wireframes to validate the content flow and interactions.

  • Visual Design: Crafted high-fidelity designs in Figma, focusing on:

    • A dynamic rewards banner

    • Authentic, varied testimonials

    • A strong visual hierarchy with a dark premium color theme

3. Development

  • Developed the Figma designs into a fully responsive landing page using WordPress SeedProd.

  • Implemented smooth scrolls, hover effects, and micro-interactions for better UX.

  • Optimized for fast load times and SEO readiness.

4. Launch

  • Successfully deployed the redesigned landing page on the live dgbet.fun domain.

  • In decentralized and betting platforms, visual energy plays a huge role in setting user expectations.

  • Handling both design and development myself gave me full control over the brand voice and technical execution, speeding up decision-making.

Final Thoughts

  • This project was a valuable opportunity to apply end-to-end product design skills, from research to final deployment. It strengthened my ability to translate business needs into highly functional, visually compelling designs that drive real user engagement.
